Abstract: [fre] Industrie manufacturière : de l'investissement aux capacités de production . Dès le début de l'année 1 994, l'activité industrielle a bénéficié d'une reprise très vigoureuse. En revanche, la reprise de l'investissement semble tarder à se développer. Dans ce contexte, les capacités de production industrielles seront-elles suffisantes pour consolider la croissance et autoriser son accélération ? . Les flux d'investissement passés déterminent les capacités de production d'aujourd'hui et, dans une très large mesure, celles de demain. Depuis 1991 , les évolutions de l'investissement ont été telles que les capacités de production ont été probablement stables en 1993-1994 et pourraient le rester. Dans l'hypothèse d'une croissance soutenue de la production industrielle, les conditions normales d'utilisation du capital pourraient être légèrement dépassées, à moins que les chefs d'entreprise ne retardent le déclassement des machines et (ou) investissent davantage qu'ils ne le prévoient.
