Abstract:
[eng] Abstract The cagots are a little endogamic minority scattered all over the south western Gascony, where it reachs about 2% of the whole population. There, at least in Beam, the number of the cagots grows markedly in the XVIth century ; migrants go toward the valleys of garonne and Ebra, at the very fringe of this diaspora. The researchs on the groups of Vic-Fézensac and Bordeaux show that, in spite of these new comers, the marginal circle of the cagots was narrowing, by assimilation perhaps.
