M. Phuillier

Histoire, économie & société, 1992, vol. 11, issue 3, 463-478

Abstract: [eng] Abstract The strategy of the Compagnie Française des Pétroles (C.F.P.), during the hostilities, was wholly dedicated to the safeguard of its vital interest : production facilities, refining capacity, the connexion with shareholders, and relationships with the «Majors». With regard to Vichy and the Occupant, C.F.P. did preserve its indépendance, but the lessons of the war were clear : what was required was a multiplication of production sites, expansion of downstream facilities, and the staking of shareholdings.
