Abstract: [eng] Abstract The Revolution, which extends and pulls down the Age of Enlightenment, introduces a new conjoncture for the french book trade : it imposes particularly the model of the political participation of each citizen and it creates a fundamental changement dealing with the tipology of printed books and the reading practice of The politiacl Revolution prevails on to the logical book trade industrialization - an evolution which will spread out during the Restoration and The July Monarchy. [fre] Résumé La Révolution de 1789, qui prolonge en la détruisant l'époque des Lumières, introduit une conjoncture radicalement nouvelle pour la librairie française : en imposant notamment le modèle de la participation politique de chaque citoyen, elle provoque un déplacement fondamental de la typologie des imprimés produits et, par suite, des pratiques de lecture dont ils sont le support. La Révolution politique conduit ainsi très directement, en France, à la logique de l'industrialisation de la librairie, qui se développera sous la Restauration et surtout sous la Monarchie de juillet.
