Abstract: [fre] Résumé En étudiant le savoir de Bernard de La Roche Flavin (1552-1627), président à la chambre des requêtes du parlement de Toulouse, on voudrait relever les traits de son monde culturel. La publication à Bordeaux en 1617 de ses Treize Livres des parlemens de France suscita un scandale au parlement de Toulouse. Le magistrat révélait au public tous les travers, les fautes et les faiblesses de ses collègues et s'en voyait puni par un procès et une exclusion du parlement. Témoignage de bouleversements qui touchent l'ensemble des juristes au début du XVIIe siècle, les déboires de ce magistrat Toulousain sont à replacer dans un contexte de crise et de définition d'un nouvel ordre des savoirs, dont les enjeux politiques sont primordiaux. [eng] Abstract By studying what Bernard de La Roche Flavin (1552-1627), president of the «chambre des requêtes » of the Toulouse Parliament, knew, we hope to be able to highlight the changing nature of the cultural world of the time. When his Treize Livres des parlemens de France where published in Bordeaux in 1617, they sparked off a scandal in the Toulouse Parliament. The magistrate was revealing to his readers all the failings, shorteanings and weaknesses of his colleagues; he was subsequently tried, then excluded from Parliament. This magistrate's misfortunes, wich bear witness to the upheaval in the world of the judiciary at the turn of 17 th century must be seen against the background of the times, characterised by the crisis it underwent and a redifinition of its scientific priorities in which the political stakes where high.
