Abstract: [fre] Résumé Le fonctionnement du cartel charbonnier Nord -Pas-de-Calais dans la période de l'entrc-deux- guerres est étudié quantitativement. Le concept de stabilité de la collusion est introduit en le mesurant par les fluctuations des parts de marché des membres de l'entente. Après avoir détaillé la méthodologie adoptée dans la construction des indices, une modélisation est mise en place dans différentes sous-périodes. L'utilisation de différentes méthodes d'analyse économétrique (tests de causalité de Granger, analyse impulsionnelle, tests de cointégration) conduit à mettre en évidence des phases distinctes dans le fonctionnement du cartel, tout en testant empiriquement la validité de résultats théoriques. [eng] Abstract A quantitative study of changes of the Nord-Pas-de-Calais coal cartel stability during interwar period forms the basis of the following paper. Collusion stability is defined by measuring volatility of cartel members ' market shares. We present the methodology used to construct indexes. Next, an econometric analysis of the determing factors of cartel stability is undertaken. Different methods are used (Granger causality tests, impulse analysis, cointégration tests) to show existence of different sub-periods in cartel functionary and to test empirically some theoretical results.
