Abstract: [fre] Résumé Depuis la publication par L. Lalanne en 1883 de copies des dessins de ce manuscrit daté de 1568, celui-ci est connu comme le Livre de Fortune de Jean Cousin le Jeune. C'est oublier un peu vite Imbert d'Anlézy, Fauteur des emblèmes qu'a illustrés le célèbre dessinateur. Cet article se propose de comprendre son projet de « tychologie». Pour ce gentilhomme vétéran des guerres d'Italie, la fortune signifie cette durée fragmentée, faite d'occasions, dans laquelle s'inscrit l'action de l'homme vertueux. Son encyclopédie de Fortune se veut en quelque sorte un répertoire des réponses possibles à ces instants singuliers, devant lesquels l'homme doit se comporter en Protée et en joueur. Telle est la leçon qu'il veut donner au jeune duc Hercule-François ď Alençon, à qui il destine cet ouvrage pour son instruction. [eng] Abstract Since the publication of copies of its drawings in 1883, this manuscript has been known as Jean Cousin 's Livre de Fortune. But the famous draughtsman is not the author of this emblem book. This paper would like to focuses on Imbert d'Anlézy and his «tychology». According to this veteran of Francis I and Henry II's italian campaigns, fortune corresponds to the scattered occasions which the vertuous man is confronted to. Anlézy's encyclopedia of Fortune is somewhat of a repertory of possible answers to each of these particular moments. When meeting these occasions, man must act as a protean gambler. This is the lesson Anlézy intended to teach the duke Hercule-François ď Alençon whom the book is dedicated to.
