Abstract: [fre] Résumé À travers dix scènes choisies dans des opéras-comiques créés entre 1789 et 1798, sont exposées les principales questions posées par ce genre pilote de la période révolutionnaire. Cinq thèmes ont été sélectionnés: le personnage populaire, la tragédie, les influences dramatiques étrangères, l'héritage et l'expérimentation, le rire et ses procédés. Pour chacun d'entre eux, il s'agit d'évaluer à travers une scène représentative l'apport de la période et de proposer une méthode appropriée à chacune de ces questions. Les exemples sont pris dans Les deux petits Savoyards (Dalayrac, 1789); Eliza (Cherubini, 17 '94) \Euphrosine (Méhul, 1790); Roméo et Juliette (Steibelt, 1793); Zélia (Des- hayes, 1791) ; Lodoïska (Cherubini, 1791) ; Paul et Virginie (Kreutzer, 1791) ; Les Visitandines (Devienne, 1792); Le Prisonnier (Delia Maria, 1798); Léonore (Gaveaux, 1798). [eng] Abstract The main questions raised by the experimental genre of the opera-comique of the Revolutionary period, are exposed through ten chosen scenes of operas created between 1 789 and 1 798. Five themes were selected: the popular character, tragedy, foreign dramatic influences, heritage and experimentation, laughter and its implications. For each one of them, it is deemed necessary, through examination of a relevant scene, to evaluate what the period delivered and to propose an appropriate method of questioning for each of these questions. Examples are taken from Les deux petits savoyards (Dalayrac, 1789); Eliza (Cherubini, 1794); Euphrosine (Mehul, 1790); Romeo et Juliette (Steibelt, 1793); Zelia (Deshayes,1791); Lodoiska (Cherubini, 1791); Paul et Virginie (Kreutzer, 1791); Les Visitandines (Devienne, 1792); Le Prisionnier (Delia Maria, 1798); Leonore (Gaveaux, 1798).
