Abstract: [fre] Cet article relate l'histoire des syndics des États provinciaux depuis leur apparition jusqu'à la fin de l'Ancien Régime. Tout à la fois officiers du pays et dotés de commissions royales, ils ont constitué la charnière indispensable permettant d'articuler les provinces d'États à l'administration royale. [eng] This article presents a history of the provincial syndics from thier coming out to the end of the "Ancien Régime ". This original districts offices received in the same time royal commisions, so as to become the indispensable hinge for the articulation between the provincial Estates and the central monarchy.
