Abstract: [eng] P. Maillet - The idea of a nuclear moratorium considered from an economic standpoint. Necessary for sorne people, the French nuclear program is judged premature by others who suggest to postpone during some years the building of new nuclear electricity generating plants, waiting for further knowledge on nuclear technology : hence the idea of a temporary nuclear moratorium.. The paper studies the economic impact of a 5 years moratorium, by comparing the present program of plants and an alternative program where the building of new nuclear plants would be stopped and replaced by classical thermal plants. This impact is appreciated by the effects on the activity of the plant building sectors, on investment, on employment, on balance of external paiements. The effective magnitude of this impact is influenced by hypotheses on general economic policies. [fre] P. Maillet - Reflexions economiques sur l'idée d'un moratoire nucléaire. Jugé nécessaire pour les uns, le programme français est considéré comme prématuré par d'autres qui proposent de surseoir pendant quelques années à la construction de nouvelles centrales, en attendant d'en savoir plus sur la technologie nucléaire : c'est l'idée d'un moratoire temporaire.. L'article étudie l'impact économique d'un tel moratoire de cinq ans, par la comparaison du schéma actuel de construction de centrales et d'un schéma alternatif où, pendant cinq ans, la construction de centrales nucléaires serait stoppée et remplacée par la construction de centrales thermiques classiques. L'impact est estimé notamment par les effets sur l'activité des branches constructrices de centrales, sur l'investissement, sur l'emploi, sur la balance des règlements extérieurs. La portée exacte de cet impact dépend d'hypothèses sur certaines stratégies économiques générales.
