Abstract: [fre] L'évolution de l'emploi et du chômage en France a connu depuis 1974 une rupture très forte: la croissance de l'emploi s'est arrêtée et celle du chômage s'est vivement accélérée. L'analyse des tendances de croissance, de productivité du travail et de durée du travail conduit à retenir pour le moyen-terme comme perspective centrale une stabilité, voire une régression de l'emploi total. Compte-tenu des fortes augmentations prévisibles des disponibilités de main-d'oeuvre, cela entraînerait une sensible augmentation du chômage. Ces perspectives ne sont pas fatales; elles donnent la mesure des efforts à accomplir pour parvenir à une évolution plus satisfaisante .
