Abstract: [fre] L'industrie charbonnière qui se développe actuellement n'est plus celle sur laquelle a reposé la Révolution Industrielle. Elle s'en distingue d'abord par les conditions de base : production (caractéristiques technico-économiques différentes), demande (nombre réduit d'usages à satisfaire), et dimension du marché (espace mondial). Elle s'en distingue également par les structures et les rapports de force qui la caractérisent : puissance économique des Etats Producteurs, concentration au niveau de la consommation, rôle déterminé des Etats importateurs. [eng] The coal industry that is presently developing is different from that upon which Industrial Revolution was based. Its basic conditions are different : production technics, the few uses of coal, and the international extent of its market. Its structure and conduct too are different economic power of producing countries, concentration at the level of consumers, and the active part played by importing countries.
