Abstract: [fre] Cette étude s'appuie sur un échantillon de plus de 400 000 variations d'emploi entre 1974 et 1979, survenues dans les 50 secteurs en NAP 600 ayant connu les plus forts taux de variations de l'emploi.. Elle privilégie certaines caractéristiques de l'offre : contenu en travail qualifié et importance de la fonction technique comme variables explicatives.. Les résultats des tests montrent que ces variables n'expliquent pas directement les variations d'emploi. Elles expliquent, par contre, assez bien les exportations sectorielles et le partage des importations entre OCDE et reste du monde. À leur tour ces variables contribuent à expliquer les variations d'emploi. [eng] This paper uses a sample of more than 400 000 changes in sectorial employment in France from 1974 to 1979, in the 50 industries having experienced the highest rates of change in employment during the period.. Skilled labour and the technical content of industry have been selected as explanatory variables. Tests show no direct relations between these variables and the rate of change in sectorial employment. On the other hand the selected variables give an explanation of exports and of the sharing of imports between OECD and the rest of the world. In turn, these new variables contribute significatively to explain the changes in sectorial employment.
