Sur la prévision de l'investissement des entreprises et quelques travaux économétriques récents

Abstract: [eng] This paper recounts the uncertainties of the modelling of investment in France when the years after 1978 are included. Various studies are reviewed. Several of them lead to reappraising the respective role of profit ant the accelerator as determinants of investment : the estimation of parameters is often more hazardous and we can even envisage the alternative use of pure profit equations. Disequilibrium models shed complementary light on the respective weight of the constraints of supply and demand : after having prevailed from 1976 to 1982, constraints of supply tended to progresively fade. The instability of the coefficients could finally be due to aggregation problems, in particular between investment in electric and electronic equipment and investment in other products. [fre] Cette communication rappelle les incertitudes de la modélisation de l'investissement en France lorsqu'on inclut les années postérieures à 1978, et passe en revue différentes études. Plusieurs d'entre elles conduisent à réévaluer le rôle respectif du profit et de l'accélérateur comme déterminants de l'investissement : l'estimation des paramètres n'est souvent plus robuste et on peut même envisager l'utilisation alternative d'équations de profit pur. Les modèles à plusieurs régimes apportent un éclairage complémentaire sur le poids respectif des contraintes d'offe et de demande : après avoir prévalu de 1976 à 1982, les premières tendent progressivement à s'effacer. L'instabilité des coefficients pourrait enfin tenir à des problèmes d'agrégation, notamment entre l'investissement en matériel électrique et électronique et l'investissement dans les autres produits.
