Les outils bibliométriques, instruments essentiels pour les recherches concernant les économies fondées sur la connaissance

Abstract: [eng] Progress and advances on several major issues in economics of technological change are requiring important empirical works of a very precise and rigourous nature. Survey data appear as necessary but not sufficient ; while bibliometric data and tools could serve as a base for further research in the near future. This paper introduces to the objectives of building this « large scale bibliometric facility » that could be of an invaluable help for economists. It emphasizes in particular the technical and organizational problems raised by such a project. [fre] Plusieurs thèmes majeurs en économie du changement technique ne pourront progresser de manière satisfaisante sans travaux empiriques répondant à un cahier des charges précis et exigeant. Les données d'enquêtes apparaissent nécessaires, mais insuffisantes. Mais les données et méthodes bibliométriques, malgré les limites actuelles, pourraient, dans un avenir proche, et sous certaines conditions, satisfaire aux conditions. On met ainsi en évidence le programme de travail, avec ses aspects techniques et organisationnels qui permettrait aux économistes de disposer du « grand équipement bibliométrique » dont ils ont besoin.
