Abstract: [eng] Recent works in the theory of technical change show the effect of irreversibility and lock-in in the diffusion and creation of innovation processes, which are able to stop the development of a generic technology. Therefore, industrial politics have a major role in selecting and supporting the innovative process. The purpose of this paper is to prove the possibility to derive from a Delphi type technology survey a typology of future innovations in terms of generic technology. In such a way it is possible to get a better understanding of the industrial dynamics and design an interesting tool for industrial policy as far as the target is to develop stable technological trajectories.. [fre] La théorie du progrès technique a mis en évidence à la fois les phénomènes d'irréversibilité et les possibilités de blocage des processus de création et de diffusion de l'innovation qui peuvent stopper le développement d'une technologie générique. Dans cette optique, l'État, par le biais de la politique industrielle, a un rôle majeur à jouer puisqu'il peut effectuer des opérations d'arbitrage afin de soutenir tel processus innovant. L'objet de l'article est de montrer que, sur la base d'une enquête Delphi, il est possible de déterminer une typologie des innovations du futur et de construire des technologies génériques permettant de mieux appréhender la dynamique industrielle et d'aider à la mise en place d'une politique industrielle de développement technologique.
