Abstract: [fre] Macro-économie et socio-économie de l'épargne continuent d'être partout très éloignées l'une de l'autre ; c'est dommage parce que les progrès de la première passent sans doute par un approfondissement de la seconde. Deux approches socio-économiques sont ici proposées concernant, d'une part, les objectifs et intentions d'épargne, d'autre part, la régularité de l'épargne et l'importance des montants épargnés. Le traitement des données d'enquête permet certes de mettre en évidence l'importance de deux variables largement présentes dans la théorie économique : l'âge de l'épargnant et son revenu. Toutefois, au-delà de ces variables classiques, des oppositions apparaissent fortement en fonction des statuts, actifs et inactifs, mais aussi, au sein des actifs, entre les indépendants, les salariés cadres et les non-cadres. Ii is a pity, since progress obtained by the former is most likely related to thorough appraisal of the latter. Two socio-economic approaches are proposed here dealing, on one hand, with savings targets and intentions and, on the other hand, with savings regularity and the importance of amounts saved. Survey data show the importance of two variables largely present in the economic theory : the saver's age and income. However, beyond these typical variables, some strong oppositions appear depending on savers' activities : working or non working savers, and among the latter : self-employed, executive and non-executive salaried workers.
