Abstract: [eng] The evolution of financial analysis in the European constraint. The nature, the importance and the influence of the financial analyst have been deeply modified during the last fifteen years by the growing « anglo-saxonisation » of the financial markets. Four factors transformed this profession : a large sophistication, an internationalisation and a specialisation, a commercialisation, and a bankarisation. Because of these elements and because of their rapid evolution, the problem relative to the cost of a research structure and the problem of the status of the financial analyst in his establishment and outside of this establishment will be certainly important soon. [fre] La nature, le rôle et l'influence de l'analyste financier ont considérablement changé au cours des quinze dernières années et ce, sous l'influence d'une « anglo- saxonisation » croissante des marchés financiers. Quatre facteurs ont transformé le métier d'analyste et sa place au sein des banques d'affaires. Tout d'abord, la profession s'est considérablement sophistiquée. Elle s'est, par ailleurs, internationalisée et spécialisée ; elle s'est aussi commercialisée et enfin, elle s'est fortement bancarisée. Compte tenu de ces éléments et de leur évolution très rapide, il se posera, sans doute, au cours des prochaines années, le problème du coût d'une structure de recherche au sein des établissements financiers ainsi que celui du statut de l'analyste financier, au sein des établissements mais aussi vis-à-vis de l'extérieur.
