Veverka presents the factors that can influence an issuer in its choice of a financial centre ; The two most important factors are the depth of the market, and the quality of research. Fiscal aspects, for instance, don’t seem that important. . JEL Classification : G23 [fre] Dans cet entretien, François Veverka précise selon quels critères les émetteurs choisissent une place financière. Deux facteurs semblent importants : la base d’investisseurs, et la capacité de recherche de la place. Les aspects fiscaux et de compétitivité réglementaire n’apparaissent pas décisifs. La mise en place de l’euro a permis un fort développement du volume des opérations, mais n’a pas fondamentalement affecté l’équilibre entre les places financières européennes : en particulier, Londres n’a pas été pénalisé. François Veverka propose enfin quelques pistes de réflexion, sur l’impact d’Internet et les perspectives d’évolution des places financières. . Classification JEL : G23
