Abstract: [eng] Very small firms and financial exclusion in France . There is a growing concern about the ability of the existing financial sector to serve the lower end of the economy, especially the local economy. It seems that the financial sector is less and less willing or able to support the creation and development of micro businesses and to finance local initiatives. Then, what are the alternative strategies implemented by various actors achieving a better match the supply of financial services with local development needs ? One important point is the development of partnership between banks and non profit organizations. Together, they are trying to implement the idea that credit can help poor people to create a job. . JEL Classification : G21 . . [fre] Obtenir un crédit bancaire pour créer une très petite entreprise n’est généralement pas aisé, a fortiori quand le porteur de projet vit une situation de chômage. La concurrence entre les établissements bancaires et les contraintes en termes de réduction des coûts que cela implique peut expliquer ce phénomène. Pourtant des initiatives se mettent en place pour permettre un accès élargi au crédit bancaire en faveur des chômeurs créateurs d’entreprise. Le développement de partenariats entre banques et associations semble être une voie innovante pour mettre en oeuvre l’idée selon laquelle le crédit à la création d’entreprise peut être un outil de lutte contre le chômage et l’exclusion. .
