Abstract: [eng] Big cross-border banking reorganization in Europe : attentive scepticism or dynamic expectation ? . Last year, two things strengthened the thought of economic actors, markets and press about the new likely features of banking reorganization in Europe : . - the acceleration of American banking consolidation . - the good results of European banks. This article tries to make this thought more obvious. So it presents the situation of the European banking industry, the barriers against consolidation and, to conclude, its driving forces. .
