Abstract: [eng] The FSAP assessment : the European Banking Federation point of view . Did the realization of the large market of financial services progress ? Incontestably from the point of view of the companies and the institutional investors which profit from the wholesale markets which the process of integration has quite progressed. On the other hand, for the consumers, progress is limited, for the moment, to the introduction of the euro - only for twelve countries, because retail markets are still national markets. For investment banking activities, the progress of the markets integration is quite important. But a real political will to achieve the integration will be necessary. And a lot of things have to be done in the retail financial market area. . JEL classification : F36, G21, G24, G28 [fre] La réalisation du grand marché des services financiers a-t-elle progressé ? Incontestablement du point de vue des entreprises et des institutionnels qui bénéficient des marchés de gros dont le processus d’intégration a bien avancé. En revanche, pour les consommateurs, les progrès se limitent pour l’instant à l’introduction de l’euro - et seulement dans douze pays - car les marchés de détail restent cloisonnés au terrain national. Pour les activités de banque de financement et d’investissement, les progrès de l’intégration des marchés sont substantiels. Mais il faudra disposer d’une réelle volonté politique pour achever l’intégration. Et presque tout reste encore à faire dans le domaine de la banque de détail. .
