Abstract: [eng] The banking lobby in Brussels . The growing representation of banking industry in Brussels explains first by the growing importance of the legislation from the European Commission, as well as by the peculiarities of the European legislative process which links professional representatives to the elaboration of texts. The landscape given by these representatives is itself complex : non-specialized or specialized European professional associations, big banks, national professional associations and other particular structures meet there to work together, but sometimes with different objectives. . JEL classification : G21 [fre] Le développement de la présence à Bruxelles de représentants du monde bancaire s’explique avant tout par l’importance croissante de la législation d’origine communautaire dans le domaine bancaire, ainsi que par les spécificités du processus législatif européen qui associe volontiers les représentants socio-professionnels à l’élaboration des textes. Le paysage offert par ces représentants est lui-même complexe : associations professionnelles européennes (généralistes ou spécialisées), grandes banques, associations professionnelles nationales, sans oublier quelques autres structures particulières, s’y côtoient, en essayant souvent de travailler ensemble, mais en étant quelquefois sur des lignes différentes. .
