Abstract: [fre] Les premiers travaux sur le 26e régime ont été initiés dès 2003. Suite à ces analyses et aux études menées par l’European Round Table for Financial Services, la Commission européenne a interrogé le marché sur l’opportunité d’explorer le 26e régime, en particulier en lançant une étude de faisabilité. La présente synthèse s’inscrit dans cette perspective. En particulier, les auteurs ont cherché à préciser la définition même du 26e régime et les apports que l’intégration européenne doit en attendre. Par ailleurs, cette note détaille les enjeux du 26e régime au regard de la protection du consommateur et des liens entre un 26e régime et les lois civiles nationales. . Further to these analyses and studies led by the European Round Table for Financial Services, the European Commission questioned the market actors about the opportunity to explore the 26th regime, particularly with a study of practicability. In this article, the authors tried to specify the definition of the 26th regime and the impact for European integration. Moreover this note presents stakes of the 26th regime with regard to the consumer protection and to the links between a 26th regime and national civil laws. . Classification JEL : F36, G18, G28
