Abstract: [eng] The supply to SMEs . The supply to SMEs encompasses three dimensions : the banking supply, the financial supply driven by investors and a public supply which spans aids from State to local communities. These three components are inseparable and solidly embedded. All of them three seem also indispensable, but inadequate hearing the claims of SMEs joined in a chorus by politicians. Yet, the two first supplies may be considered quite appropriate, if we do not expect them to give what they can’t. Public supply can be more criticized, not so much for its means than in the manner they are allocated and for its objectives. . JEL classification : G21, G30 [fre] L’offre aux PME comporte trois dimensions : l’offre bancaire, l’offre financière, celle des investisseurs et une offre publique qui recouvre les aides de l’État et des collectivités locales. Inséparables, ces trois composantes sont fortement imbriquées. Elles semblent toutes les trois indispensables, quoique insuffisantes, à écouter les plaintes des PME, largement relayées par les hommes politiques. Quant aux deux premières offres bancaire et financière, elles paraissent pourtant assez adéquates si l’on n’attend pas d’elles ce qu’elles ne sauraient fournir. En regard, l’offre publique appelle plus de réserves, non tant dans ses moyens que dans la manière dont ils sont distribués et finalement dans ses objectifs. . Classification JEL : G21, G30
