Abstract: [fre] La Caisse des dépôts et l’Euro 50 Group ont organisé, le 19 novembre 2009, à Paris, une table ronde autour des 10 ans de l’euro. Cette conférence a réuni, sous le haut patronage de Madame Christine Lagarde, ministre de l’Économie, de l’Industrie et de l’Emploi, de grandes personnalités européennes ayant contribué à la naissance de la monnaie unique. Elle a été l’occasion d’évoquer la genèse de l’euro, d’illustrer son parcours depuis dix ans, son rôle positif dans la crise et en particulier la stabilité monétaire qu’il autorise et qui crée un contexte favorable au développement de l’investissement de long terme. . The Caisse des dépôts and the Euro 50 Group organized on the 19th of November 2009 in Paris, a conference on the ten years of the european single currency. Several distinguished european personalities who contributed to the birth of the euro gathered under the patronage of Mrs Christine Lagarde, French ministre de l’Économie, de l’Industrie et de l’Emploi. Among the main debated topics of this conference were the genesis of the euro, its behaviour during the last ten years, its positive role in the financial crisis and, highlighted by the speakers, the monetary stability it allows thereby creating a favourable framework to long term investments. .
