Abstract: [eng] Bank Output in the National Accounts : Methodological Aspects and Evaluation in the French Case (1980-2011).. This article describes the measurement of the banking sector production in national accounts, outlining the principles and the calculation method. It also deals with the thoughts in progress about the quality and relevance of that measure, which could lead to a change in calculation methods in the short run. Lastly, it shows the main evolutions of French banks activity under the prism of national accounts, during the past thirty years. . Classification JEL : C82, E01, O47. [fre] Cet article décrit la mesure de la production bancaire en comptabilité nationale. Il en expose les concepts et la méthode de calcul. Sont aussi abordées les réflexions en cours sur la nature même de cette mesure, réflexions qui pourraient à terme déboucher sur des méthodes différentes d’évaluation. Enfin, il présente également, à grands traits, les évolutions depuis trente ans des résultats des banques tels que retracés dans les comptes nationaux. . Classification JEL : C82, E01, O47.
