What will the financial market of the future look like?

Revue d'Économie Financière, 2000, vol. 57, issue 2, 37-46
Abstract:
[eng] It will be open and transparent, networked and totally connected, « T+ 0 », straight through, « 24x7 » fast and cost-effective. Online connectivity will be common and necessary for families all over the world, and power will rest in the hands of the consumer not producers. It will enable customers to get information and products/services they want, when they want them and how they want them. Players in this market will be obsessed with client service, globally networked, collaborative, nimble, technologically « cutting edge » and capable of responding and adapting to rapid change. .
