On Financial Sovereignty

Revue d'Économie Financière, 2009, vol. 9, issue 1, 59-70
Abstract:
[eng] If the concept of sovereignty arose with the modern state, the one of sovereign wealth fund (SWF) is much more recent. It arose with the new capacity that certain states acquired to accumulate reserve funds as states and to use them as they pleased. How will SWFs evolve ? How will they be integrated into the international financial system ? Can they be counted on to « put a long-term approach back » in the international financial system ? .
