Léon Rolland and André Brun

Économie rurale, 1966, vol. 67, issue 1, 49-62

[eng] The diminution of the hired labour force in large-scale farming can to a great extent be ascribed to technical progress. This decrease of the workers is selective and is accompanied by a social evolution which contributes to give the class of farm workers its current features. Two successive surveys in a group of farms enable us to appreciate this evolution and the future extention of the established trends.
