Abstract: [eng] The author notes four stages in the food and agricultural sector : farm supply, agricultural production, food industries and distribution. As for the relationship between the two intermediate stages, he stresses the responsability of the food industry which is well situated to inform the producers of the market situation and to supply technical aid and means of production. [fre] L'auteur distingue quatre niveaux dans la structure du complexe agro-alimentaire : production d'amont, production agricole, industrie alimentaire, et distribution. Dans les relations des deux niveaux intermédiaires, production agricole-industrie alimentaire, il souligne la responsabilité de l'industrie, bien placée pour informer les producteurs des besoins du marché, et leur fournir un soutien technique et matériel.
