Abstract: [fre] En Europe occidentale, la production de viandes bovines suit avec difficulté la consommation. Le déficit est important; pour 1975, on l'évalue à 850.000 tonnes pour l'Europe occidentale et à 600.000 tonnes pour la Communauté Economique Européenne. . En vue de contribuer à satisfaire les besoins européens, la production française doit, d'une part, adapter les types de production à la demande étrangère .et d'autre part, améliorer ses structures de production, d'abattage et de commercialisation. . C'est à ces deux conditions, que le potentiel français en ressources fourragères et en cheptel pourra tirer profit d'une situation éminemment favorable. . Le succès paraît lié à la création d'ensembles organisés, capables de systématiser la production, les méthodes de vente et les relations économiques et commerciales. [eng] Foreign markets accessible to beef and the conditions of taking advantage of them . In Western Europe, beef production has difficulty in keeping abreast of consumption. The deficits is considerable : for 1975 it is estimated at 850.000 tons for western Europe and a 600.000 tons for the E.E.C. . In order to attempt to satisfy European demand, French beef-production must, on the one hand, adapt its types of production to foreign demand and, on the other, improve its production, slaughtering and commercialization structures. . It is on these two conditions that the French potential in fodder and stock will be able to take advantage of a very favourable situation. . Success would seem to be linked to the creation of organized units, capable of systematizing production, sales methods and economic and commercial relation.
