Abstract: [fre] De nombreux auteurs ont étudié la nature et les effets du progrès technique en agriculture. Cet article tente de faire le point sur ce dernier phénomène. Il passe notamment en revue un certain nombre de théories relatives à la pénétration du progrès technique. . Il tente d'autre part de montrer comment le progrès technique peut détourner certaines décisions de politique économique de leurs objectifs. . Il étudie enfin l'influence sur les exploitations agricoles des diverses branches de production et de distribution qui approvisionnent les exploitations agricoles en moyens de production. [eng] Technical progress and agricultural development - Many authors have studied the nature and the effects of technical progress in agriculture. This article intends to resume the situation on this point. Several theories pertaining to the penetration of technical progress are examined. The author also shows how technical progress can sometimes be used against certain decisions of economic policy. Finally, the influence on the farms of different production and distribution branches which supply them is examined.
