Abstract: [eng] The conditions of the choice of production system and techniques by farmers : the farm seen as a system - Systems analysis can enable one to understand the choice of production systems and techniques made by farmers. Various inter-disciplinary surveys carried out in particular in the Vosges have led to the farm being analysed as an organized whole, the finalities and regulations of which are complex (progress in methodology is necessary). By considering the farm- farmer system, the family's plan for the farm can be seen, a key element in understanding situations and needs. [fre] L'analyse de systèmes peut aider à comprendre les choix des systèmes et des techniques de production faits par les agriculteurs. Diverses études pluridisciplinaires menées notamment dans les Vosges conduisent à analyser l'exploitation comme un tout organisé dont les finalités et les régulations sont complexes (des progrès méthodologiques sont nécessaires). En considérant le système exploitant-exploitation, on peut dégager le projet de la famille sur l'exploitation, élément-clé pour la compréhension des situations et des besoins.
