Abstract: [eng] A critical appreciation of Osty's "The farm as a system" - It is impossible to apply systems analysis to farms without grasping the concepts connected with it and analysing what enables such an approach to be used in this field. A few notions that complement Osty's study, are presented here (constraints, environment, development) as necessary sign-posts to direct the reader's reflection on this matter. [fre] On ne peut appliquer l'analyse des systèmes aux exploitations agricoles sans cerner les concepts y afférents et s'interroger sur ce qui permet d'utiliser une telle approche pour cet usage. En complément de l'étude de P. L. Osty, quelques notions dûment approfondies (contrainte, environnement, développement) sont présentées comme des jalons nécessaires pour orienter la réflexion.
