Abstract: [eng] This research tends to bring out a framework for political analysis of foresty decisions. The relationships between private forest owners and the state have been studied from the professional press. The role and significance of public intervention in forestry is now being analyzed through the evolution of the French forest service since the XlXth century. [fre] Cet ensemble de travaux tend à définir un cadre d'analyse politique des décisions forestières. Après l'étude des relations entre l'État et les propriétaires forestiers privés, conduite à partir de ia presse professionnelle, le rôle de la signification des interventions en forêt est en cours d'analyse, à travers l'évolution de l'administration forestière depuis le XIXe siècle.
