Inégalités et solidarités en agriculture. Signification d'un débat

Abstract: [fre] Aucune profession n'a jamais dénoncé avec autant de vigueur ses inégalités internes ! Aucune inégalité interne d'un secteur professionnel n'a jamais été à ce point stigmatisée de l'extérieur ! . Est-ce imputable au concept de l'exploitation familiale, au poids de l'hérédité dans les inégalités constatées, au fait qu'elles doivent beaucoup aux prix fixés par l'État, à l'impossibilité de réclamer la parité externe de revenu sans en même temps réduire les disparités internes ? . Quelles que soient les disparités, elles ne sont pas en contradiction pour la plupart des agriculteurs avec une vision unitaire du monde agricole. . D'ailleurs, dans une période de mutation structurelle, l'important c'est plutôt l'égalité des chances que des situations. [eng] Inequalities and solidarity in agriculture the significance of the debate - No branch of activity ever pointed out their internal inequalities more vigorously ! And no internal inequalities were ever so stimatized by their environment ! . The explanation of this phenomenon may be found in the concept of the family farm, in the hereditary character of these inequalities or the responsibility of the price-fixing policy, in the impossibility to claim a parity with other branches without reducing internal disparities first. . Yet, however great the disparities, farmers do not regard them as contrary to a unified vision of the farming universe. . Generally speaking, in a period of structural changes it seems more important to secure equal chances than to attempt an equalization of situations.
