Abstract: [fre] Cet article tente une présentation succincte des perspectives à moyen terme ou long terme de l'économie mondiale. Après avoir rappelé les changements majeurs qui se sont produits récemment dans la situation des sociétés industrielles (un système économique international de plus en plus multipolaire et interdépendant, un renforcement de l'oligopole social interne, une évolution dans les aspirations, des transformations technologiques), il examine les principaux problèmes économiques internationaux de la prochaine décennie (énergie, endettement international, instabilité des taux de change, intensification de la concurrence industrielle, différenciation du Tiers-Monde, etc.), puis analyse les défis internes posés aux politiques économiques (politique macroéconomique, politique microéconomique, réforme de l'Etat-protecteur) et enfin esquisse quelques scénarios de rupture et de continuité. [eng] This article intends to give a concise intermediate and long term view of the world economy. The author first states the recent major changes in the industrialized societies (an international economic system becoming more and more multipolar and interdépendant, a strengthening of the internal social oligopoly, an evolution of aspirations, technological change), examines the major economic problems on an international level over the next ten years (energy, international levels of indebtment, currency instabilities, intensified industrial competition, differentiation of developing countries etc.) and then analyses internal challenges to economic policies (macroeconomic or microeconomic policies reforms of the Welfare State) and finally outlines a few scenarios of breakdown and continuity.
