Les innovations dans l'agro-fourniture: contexte et évolution

Abstract: [eng] Whereas the sales of the supplyer-sector grew weaker, in most of industrialized countries, the intensification of farming production appears, today, like an important challenge for the impulse of farming demand in products of industrial origin. This challenge is good for innovation, renewal of farming production techniques, but also for the modification of strength relationships inside the supplyer-sector. So, it is not contradiction free. The growth logics followed by the different industrial actors, and so, the one they implement, are not always complementary. Contradictions coming from the priorities given by these actors to extensive or intensive models assert themselves. Innovation is, more than ever, the product of the accentuation of farming constraints and industrial changings bound to the crisis. A very illustrative example is given by the reduction of the share of mechanization and the strenghtening of fine chemistry in the orientation of agricultural techniques. [fre] Alors que les ventes de l'agro-fourniture ont très nettement fléchi dans la plupart des pays industrialisés, l'intensification de la production agricole apparaît aujourd'hui, comme un enjeu essentiel de la relance de la demande agricole en produits d'origine industrielje. Cet enjeu est favorable à l'innovation, au renouvellement des techniques de production agricole mais aussi à une modification des rapports de force au sein de l'agro- fourniture. Il n'est, donc, pas exempt de contradiction. Les logiques de développement des différents acteurs industriels et, par conséquent, celles des innovations qu'ils mettent en œuvre ne sont plus toujours complémentaires. Les contradictions découlant des priorités accordées par ces acteurs aux modèles extensifs ou intensifs s'affirment, comme s'affirment la diminution du poids de l'industrie du machinisme agricole dans l'orientation des techniques diffusées par l'agro-fourniture, et le renforcement de celui de la chimie fine.
