Abstract: [fre] Les différents courants de pensée qui ont dominé l'économie rurale depuis 30 ans ont rarement intégré, de manière explicite dans leurs approches, la dimension spatiale des phénomènes économiques. Aujourd'hui, les économistes ne peuvent plus se satisfaire d'une représentation implicite de l'espace, tendante le réduire à un espace abstrait et indifférencié. L'étude du développement d'une coopérative agricole et des actions de développement local engagées sur sa zone d'activité, montre la nécessité de tenir compte de l'espace dans sa double dimension, d'espace abstrait et d'espace territorial. [eng] The different kinds of thought that led rural economics since 30 years rarely included, in an explicit way in their approach, the spatial dimension of economic phenomenons. Nowadays, the economists cannot be satisfied with an implicit representation of space that tends to reduce it to an abstract and undifferentiated space. The study of the development of an agricultural co-operative and of the actions of local development led on its activity area, shows the need of considering space in its double dimension : abstract space and territorial space.
