Abstract: [eng] Industries and regional development - Case of the beef meat industry in Midi-Pyrénées - Is it possible to intervene efficiently in the policy of the industries so that they might play a greater part in the régional development? A survey conducted on the beef meat industries in Midi-Pyrénées between 1965 and 1984 points out that the policy carried out by the beef meat industry does not necessairly tally with the policy of the regional development. The subject matter here deals with the connection between the industries and the regional development through a particular exemple. Such a study should be done more systematically. [fre] Est-il possible d'intervenir efficacement sur le fonctionnement des filières pour qu'elles contribuent plus au développement régional? Une analyse menée sur la filière viande bovine en Midi-Pyrénées entre 1965 et 1984 montre que la logique des entreprises et de la filière ne coïncide pas forcément avec celle du développement régional. Le thème de l'articulation filière-région, abordé ici à la lumière d'un cas particulier, mériterait de l'être d'une manière plus systématique.
