Abstract: [fre] La structure financière et les modalités de financement des sociétés coopératives agricoles sont très largement dépendantes des relations organiques qu'elles entretiennent avec des exploitations restées principalement familiales, et de règles de fonctionnement conformes à des principes spécifiques. Globalement et par rapport aux autres entreprises agro-alimentaires : des ressources propres plus faibles et des besoins financiers plus élevés conduisent à un endettement supérieur. Au sein de l'ensemble coopératif, de plus, l'endettement des grandes entreprises serait, selon divers indices, supérieur à la moyenne. D'où le débat actuel sur les moyens à utiliser pour leur permettre d'accéder au marché financier, sans trahir leur nature spécifique. [eng] The financial structure and this financing methods of the cooperative agricultural firms depend highly on the organic relations they keep up with an agriculture made up mainly of family farms and the operating rules according to specific principles. In the aggregate and with regard to other agrifood enterprises : lower stock-holders' equities and higher financial needs are leading to a superior indeptedness. Moreover, within the cooperative movement, the indebtedness of the big enterprises would be, according to different indications above average. From which ensues the present discussion on the measures to be taken to enable them to assent to the financial market without betraying their specific nature.
