Les arboriculteurs français et le marché européen. Présentation d'un outil d'analyse: le concept de bassin de production fruitière

Abstract: [fre] S'il existe des données statistiques qui permettent de cerner avec précision les structures de production fruitière en France (superficie de verger, répartition géographique, distribution variétale...), les outils théoriques font souvent défaut lorsqu'il s'agit d'utiliser ces informations dans le cadre de l'analyse économique. . L'auteur propose dans cet essai une méthode d'analyse, basée sur le concept de « bassin de production fruitière » qui s'appuie sur la dynamique des systèmes. Il étudie notamment les conditions de formation et d'expansion d'un bassin de production, en isolant les variables qui agissent sur les structures de production et de commercialisation des fruits frais, et en quantifiant les relations qui s'instaurent entre elles. Les résultats ainsi obtenus permettent d'expliquer la situation actuelle des arboriculteurs en France et d'analyser leur devenir dans le contexte de la Communauté Économique Européenne. [eng] If some satistical data exist which allow to know with accuracy the structure of fruit production in France (orchard acreage, geographic allocation, varietal distribution), the theorical tools often lack when we wish to use this information in the framework of economic analysis. . The author propounds a method of analysis founded upon the « fruit production basin », a concept based on dynamics of systems. In particular, he investigates what are the conditions of making and expanding a production basin, by isolating basic variables which operate on the production and commercialization structures of fresh fruits and by quantifying relations between them. The results obtained allow to explain the conditions now prevailing among arboriculturists and to analyze their future in the EEC context.
