Abstract: [eng] There are two main tendencies concerning the repertoire of collective action of French farmers. While maintaining a certain continuity with respect to the traditional area of farming action, this repertoire is characterized by a marked widening of the public scene in the farmers' struggle. . To understand this evolution, attention must be paid to the structural transformations of a political (moving away from the centres of power and changes in the relationship between State and profession) and organizational (reforming in the trade union scene) sectors. But attention should also be drawn to the way the State and the other components of society at large have reacted to the demands and forms of claiming action of farmers over the last twenty years. [fre] Deux grandes tendances se dégagent du répertoire d'action collective des agriculteurs. Tout en témoignant d'une certaine continuité par rapport au registre traditionnel d'actions paysannes, ce répertoire se caractérise par un élargissement sensible de la scène publique dans le champ de lutte des agriculteurs. . Pour comprendre cette évolution, il suffit de mettre l'accent sur les transformations structurelles d'ordre politique (déplacement des centres du pouvoir et modification des rapports État/profession) et d'ordre organisational (recomposition du paysage syndical) ; mais il convient également de s'interroger sur les réponses que l'État et les autres composantes de la société ont apportées aux diverses modalités d'actions revendicatives des agriculteurs au cours de ces vingt dernières années.
