Abstract: [eng] This investigation is about the projections of changes oflandspace and economic activities by the year 2000 of a small rural area of the Auvergne Région, Mézenc, in Haute-Loire. Its future seems connected to the keeping of primary schools, the maintenance of council roads, rationalization of milk collection, the increasing of farm sizes, and the development of the cross-country skiing resort.
