Anciennes et nouvelles pratiques religieuses des ruraux

Joël Morlet

Économie rurale, 1991, vol. 202, issue 1, 86-87

Abstract: [eng] Sociological studies of religion in rural France were previously focussed on surveys on church attendance (Boulard) and the part played by the Agricultural Catholic Youth. This article provides tracks for a further updating of these studies : to what extent does religion remain a symbolical element of life among country communities ? What has become of catholic movements and their militants ? How is religious power shared out with decreasing number of priests ? What about the other religions ?
