La Poste rurale: un vecteur de vie dans les campagnes

Abstract: [fre] Avec ses 13 000 bureaux de poste et ses 36 000 tournées de facteurs, la Poste constitue, depuis fort longtemps, l'un des réseaux les plus présents en zones rurales, en dépit des mutations démographiques et sociologiques qui l'ont poussé depuis une quarantaine d'années à prendre plus en compte que par le passé, et à l'instar d'autres services publics et privés, les notions de rentabilité économique. Aujourd'hui pourtant le vote de la loi du 2 juillet 1990 accordant une plus grande autonomie à la Poste, l'accentuation de l'écart démographique entre zones rurales "actives" et désertifiées, la poursuite du retrait dans les campagnes des autres services publics, ont incité la Poste rurale à mieux adapter sa politique aux besoins de la clientèle rurale. [eng] With 13 000 post offices and 36 000 rounds of postmen, the Post constitutes, since a long time, one of the most present networks in rural areas, in spite of the demographic and sociological mutations which have forced her for forty years to make more than in the past, and following the example of other public and private services, the notions of economic profitability. Though today, the vote of the law of the 2 July 1990 admiting a larger autonomy in the Post, the accentuation of the demographic gap between "active" and "deserted" rural areas, the continuation of the departure in the countries of the other public services, have incited the rural Post to adapt better her politic to the needs of the rural clientele.
