Philippe Guttinger

Économie rurale, 1992, vol. 208, issue 1, 66-69

[eng] The legal status of underground water. In France, underground water traditionnaly belongs to the owner of the ground, which is neither in keeping with scientific knowledge nor with the needs of society. Yet, no precise evaluation of the advantages of the various legal approaches has been completed and the bill, brought before the Parliament in may 1991, merely improve the means of intervention of the administration to manage the water resources as best as possible.
