La production de fraise à Huelva: les avantages de la filière espagnole sur le marché européen

Abstract: [fre] La comparaison des filières de la fraise à Huelva et en Aquitaine permet d'évaluer les rentes différentielles de Huelva et les mécanismes de leur mise en œuvre. Durant une première phase de domination par les coûts (1980/88), la croissance se base sur l'augmentation de la production et des exportations. Puis les problèmes de concurrence s'aiguisent et les entreprises élaborent de nouvelles stratégies : intégration verticale et partenariat en Espagne, coopération entre les différents échelons de la filière en France. La concurrence s'inscrit désormais dans le cadre de stratégies de différenciation du produit et de segmentation du marché. The analysis compared to strawberry networks in Huelva and in Aquitaine allow to evaluate the comparative advantages of Huelva. After the first step of cost-advantages, during which the growth is based upon the rise of production and exportation, the firms are obliged to lead new strategies : vertical integration and partnership in Spain, cooperation between different steps of the sector in France. Competition is now situated in différenciation of the product and segmentation of the market.
