Abstract: [fre] L'analyse de la formation des revenus agricoles doit prendre en compte les stratégies des agriculteurs. Deux logiques stratégiques actuelles sont mises en évidence à partir d'une lecture des formes institutionnalisées de concurrence qui ont modelé le système agro-alimentaire français contemporain. Elles visent à répondre à l'épuisement des principes de sélection constitutifs de la croissance des trente dernières années et à en reconstituer de nouveaux qui permettent de préserver des avantages compétitifs issus des caractéristiques du développement passé. [eng] Competition in the food and agricultural system and creation of agricultural revenues . The analysis of the creation of agricultural revenues must take into account the strategies of the farmers. Two current kinds of strategic action are put forward when describing the forms of institutionalised competition that have shaped the contemporary French food and agricultural system. They aim at responding to the exhaustion of the principles of selection that have accompanied the growth of the past thirty years, and to reconstitute new principles which would allow forms to maintain the competitive advantages resulting from the characteristics of the past development.
